Tech giants are trying to crowbar "AI" into everything right now, because they need to make these services indispensable for society at large. This way our leaders might not have have a choice, but to bail out or otherwise coddle the industry once all this circular financing comes crashing down as it inevitably must.

Side note a sociologist did a study on a specific Church of Christ branch accused of being cult like compared with mainstream Church of Christ Churches and found a lower variability in certain measurements in the group accused of beimg cult like which were similar to the personality profile of the leader in other words the members ended up having a closer personality to the leader
