It assumes that taxation is not theft and does not account for what does not occur because of it.
The average $574 taken from each worker today on average, if left in the workers hands and just invested in US government bonds at 5% yearly return would be a fund of $61,400 at age 65 which would yield $3,000 monthly at 5%, not the $1,701 currently. (Not accounting for inflation which is more theft.)
