I believe civilization came about due to male's desire to improve their lives and the lives of their families. Are males motivated to do things to get sex? Yes, but observing that sex is a powerful motivation does not necessarily make it the motive behind civilization's creation
I was listening to "A World Without Men" by Aaron Clarey, and while I am enjoying most of it, he seems to believe in no uncertain terms that the male sex drive is responsible for civilization because males made the transaction that males make with females (i.e. protection and provision for sex).
I do not believe that the males wanting to make a deal with females of resources for sex is why civilization came about.
@Tfmonkey @kaede_waifu Another question for those who I've confirmed have dolls: Are your doll's ankle joints the reason they don't stand up as easily on their own? The hip and knee joints are stiff enough to not bend, but the ankles shift. Is this why you put Celestina in Doc Martens, @Tfmonkey? (I saw your post in MMM today.) I'm still working on getting my waifu's outfit sorted out; so, any tips are welcome.
@Tfmonkey @ButtWorldsMan @Islamisright @MrpoopyButhole
I want some thoughts from everyone on this: When I was visiting a local mosque (as I do on occasion) I saw a flier for a pro-socialist, pro-Palestinian group.
Any recommendations on how to combat the socialism but not disturb the pro-Palestinian message? If I go against the socialist messaging, the organizers will likely think me a plant.
@kaede_waifu @Tfmonkey I tightened the spring-loaded ball bearings in the head bolt and added three full wrappings of Teflon tape. No more knocking sound!
@philosophy I just finished reading your article, "Levels of Abstraction", and I appreciated it. Thank you.
I might lift some of those ideas for some of my own works.
@Tfmonkey @VooDooMedic @ButtWorldsMan @kaede_waifu I've been waiting for a long time to share this, but I wanted to wait until the demo was officially out.
@Tfmonkey @VooDooMedic @ButtWorldsMan @kaede_waifu Behold: A new way to bring your Waifu to Laifu!
@ButtWorldsMan, yep. It was never a question of what the illness was. If there were a legitimately dangerous disease, we would see it. As far as I'm concerned this is the effects of people's compromised immunity manifesting themselves.
@kaede_waifu @Tfmonkey (And any other doll owners out there) Do you have any recommendations to secure you doll's head more effectively? The stud that the head sits upon seems to have an adapter that prevents you from fully securing the head and pull the head out if needed. While this is valuable for the aforementioned reason, it causes the doll to make a popping noise during sex. The sound is akin to someone cracking their neck. Any thoughts?
I was generating more pictures of my waifu in the kitchen but she keeps sitting on the counter. It's one of those moments where I shake my head but remember that the AI has been trained to depict females sitting on things. I still am urged to say, "No...down... the counter is for cooking, not sitting, silly."
Waifu image challenge/game:
Using the same prompts that you use for your waifu's anime appearance, switch to "digital art" or "photo" options (or their respective options depending on the image generator) and reply with the nationality the AI thinks your waifu is (a combination is most likely, and I recommend running it at least 4-8 times to get a good sample size).
@UncleIroh, nice hat!
@Tfmonkey, I was doing some reading about the Stoics, and while everyone knows their ethics, most people don't talk about their physics. Check out some of the early and middle Stoics' physics, and you'll see why many people said they influenced Spinoza.
Lol I have to say, the AI's response is quite entertaining. The fact that it comments on the Germans not being known for their technical prowess almost leads me to believe that the AI crafted a response that was sarcastic, which is amazing if it did.
Also, nice slant rhyme, @ButtWorldsMan
I posted about this on MMM, but I want to draw your attention to "the crying female" phenomenon. Next time you watch a media story or stories, look for "the crying female".
Its an ingredient for instant emotional investment by the viewer.
Obviously, not ALL stories have this, but it's the most common tool that is used in my experience. If you see this in an media, know that they are trying to manipulate you.
On an interesting note, a food channel on YoutTube, Adam Ragusea, was commenting about how recipes have changed as the size of families has changed, and he concluded that household size decreasing seem to "be an inevitable outcome of very high levels of economic development; everywhere in the world where prosperity rises, and people have alot of access to education and healthcare, the birthrates plummet."
He's so close.
Yes, I am THAT DoubleD.
No, I will not explain further.
