i think the modern society is suffering because when we went to the moon(lets ignore the doubts for now), we never went back. by now, we should have had moon and mars colonies on our way to the expanse style of society. but we did not and now we are stuck, overgrown, overtaxed and don't know what to do with ourselves. just like man needs a purpose in life beside just existing, society needs one as well.

i just saw a notice about upcoming meeting of apartment owners in my building. one of the points on the agenda was to put an apartment where the owner has not paid 2k€ into the maintenance fund into auction. what a fucking world we live in. and people complain they cannot own property. lol. be glad you don't!

@Stahesh well, yes, obviously. but i meant that christianity completely changed the mindset of europe. this means intellectually, ethically, culturally and so on. it completely rewrote us. and this has been going on for a long fucking time. luckily europe is more atheist nowadays but the damage is done.

So they used to talk about forcing everybody into tall buildings in compact cities because it would be allegedly better for the environment than having a lot of small population density zones with people spread far apart

And I was thinking if you made everybody of every race and every language live in one really tall building tall enough to fit the entire population of the world that would be like the tower of Babel from Genesis in the Bible
