You're right, it's antiquated and that's precisely why it works. It has kept it's traditions where Protestants and Catholics have clearly not.

Sola scriptura + revelation has lead to a thousand splinter churches, millions of little Popes, and LGBT churches with transgender pastors. All claiming authority.

It's not the job of Christ's Church to track "modern society". It's to keep society in God's Laws.

This isnt the place to get into a big theological discussion.

Well that's where we differ.

Protestants rely on the theological doctrine of "sola sciptura", or "by scripture alone".

That results in every Protestant being their own little Pope. You've just moved the authority down to the individual.

Orthodox Christians don't use sola scriptura or a Pope, but rely on the church fathers, council decrees, writing of the saints & martyrs, mediated through priests and bishops.

Islam is closer to that model than Western Christianity.

I love clips like this because they are so powerful. Propaganda works partly because we have short attention spans and can't track the flow of information over long periods of time. That's a useful weapon against us.

The jury's still out on Milei. It's just too soon to evaluate his Presidency. If he gets a second 4-year term then that puts enough distance to judge his policies.

If he gets 100% privatization, he runs the risk of making Argentina a vassal state of transnational companies & cartels plundering his country's resources. Bad.

If he moves the needle on birth rate, abortions and divorces then Good.

You just need to calmly ask people who make such arguments to choose their favorite part from the list attached, which is still massively incomplete.

Then take any item off that list, say myocarditis, and calmly ask them to explain how they plan to gaslight you over those figures.
