Unfortunately, I'm all too aware of Jewish CS competence and their huge contributions.

Japanese excellence lies mostly in electrical engineering, their revolution in electronics has changed the world since the 1960's.

Agreed that Russkies are essentially European.

Either way, if we're moving into a multi-polar world as the West loses hegemony, i.e. BRICS, that fact necessitates competing tech, hardware and software. It's inevitable.

> Does not seem to be something non-Westerners (not counting Jews) are any good at, at all.

Hmm, have to admit that I don't have enough knowledge of non-Western FOSS to definitively say one way or the other.

Russian devs are very competent and have at least 1 linux debian-derivative called Astra.

Chinese society couldn't exist as it is now without an equivalent capacity for tech.

Pajeets and Jews can keep their tech, not interested.

@RegalBeagle @Justicar @shortstories

Yeah, I should have qualified that. I wouldn't expose a legacy OS to the internet for obvious reasons, even with masked services.

Using a local legacy OS in addition to a current OS inside of a secure VM for internet-exposed activity is one way, but that's just a poor man's version of what QubesOS does anyway.

@ThatWouldBeTelling @Justicar @RegalBeagle @shortstories

Agreed, the OpenBSD network stack is pretty solid.

I haven't kept up with FreeBSD for a long time but I'm not surprised to hear that it's maintainers are on board with woke bullshit, it's infected everything.

Frankly, I can't wait to see what non-Western kernel and OS developers come up with as alternatives.

Just as economic war has forced the rise of BRICS, our information war will inevitably create non-Western alternatives. Good.

@shortstories @RegalBeagle @Justicar

As much as I hate what's been happening to linux these days, I would still recommend Debian to others as the best of the worst.

Yes it's woke and Linus has all but confirmed he's a US intelligence partner, but Debian is still the most stable long term & has the best derivatives including lesser known ones like Tails, Whonix, Kicksecure, & Devuan if you don't like systemd.

Combine with BRTFS and you have a stable, usable, reasonably secure & private OS.

@shortstories @RegalBeagle @Justicar

Excellent point Shortie, you absolutely can do that.

QubesOS is my daily driver, a bare-metal hypervisor built on Xen, and uses whatever mix of Fedora & Debian you want.

Being a type 1 hypervisor, it means you can also run Kali, Suse, Ubuntu, Arch or whatever you prefer, all concurrently. Even Windows if you're masochistic enough.

On the other hand, don't forget the nix BSD's. I used to run a FreeBSD laptop and it was pretty great. OpenBSD is also good.

@Based_Accelerationist

Watching your Trump Derangement Syndrome get worse as time goes on has been hugely entertaining.

The next 4 years is going to be fun. Keep up the good work, you got this!

@FinalDresdonation

Everything you've just described has a name: "containment".

It describes the practice of "allowing" populist dissent to succeed as a pressure release to ward against society blowing up in their faces.

The public gets what they want, pressure dissipates, revolution is avoided, but behind the scenes the various deep states dismantle and de-fang the threat.

Brexit is the prefect example. It was never delivered and millions of immigrants were let in. Containment.

@nomebullyyou

I've noticed that too. There's a shared sense of relief and achievement, it's nice.

@TenaciousGoat

Surprisingly insightful.

By extension, it's the main reason so many young women have "daddy issues" and hate patriarchal religion. "Rule by the father" enforces accountability.

I haven't seen a man beat a woman this badly since Olympic boxing!
