There are people who I'm sure believe a $10 bill is worth more than a silver bar, but they don't matter. The NPC meme is reality in that some people don't have the processing power to work through abstracts and nested hypotheticals. They tend to rely on social queues rather than trying to problem solve solo. Who cares either way; the American revolution happened without majority support. @RodrickSage - Gotta say: personally, becoming a father changed my life completely. I found I had an entirely different perspective on the world and my place in it. And perhaps most importantly, it changed what I see as my responsibility to the world.

And this might be an IQ related thing... 🤔 But it is impossible for me to not care about the world, because now my child is a part of it.

And even if she consciously knows this, she still does not show that she understands this is the best deal she will get given her circumstances.
