It's kinda genius that the "monopolies" you say that own the majority of properties are the ones that the government bailed out during the bank crisis;
properties that people are selling because they got ass fucked by the rent moratorium during covid plus the tax hike from both the inflation reduction act and from white flight that shrank the tax base.

I understand you're angry about rent but think it through before spouting ideas:
If no one can own more than one property, that would be the end of construction companies.
That means everyone would have to build their own house from scratch by themselves.

Basically everyone would turn amish overnight. Sheds ftw.

PS: The only issue is the government welfare. If rent wasn't guaranteed by the government, the situation of managing those 21 rentals would be a lot harder.
