Was listening to NPR, talking about new FDA guidelines for food. And the topic of "body shaming" came up. We all know what it really is, fat women complaining that they are not being validated as just as healthy as someone who actually eats a proper diet and exercises.

And yes, I single out fat women because fat men rarely ever deny that they are taking poor care of themselves and are unhealthy. Only fat women try and play the denial game, with HAES and all that nonsense.

@WashedOutGundamPilot Generally the "reason" these women fail to heed the warnings of the red flags is either that they had no strong father for reference for what a man should be, but instead gravitate to traits that make them feel tingly inside, which does not correlate strongly with a man being suitable to be a father. Such women filter on what makes them feel good in the moment rather than being sensible. This is why fathers are asked for the blessing in marriage, prevention of stupidity.

@furgar I don't know what a Shein haul is or why it costs 100 dollars for toes, but those are red flags for sure. That, and the fact that she is either a single mom or a divorcee. Neither is a good option. Avoid at all costs.

@Aether Not familiar with Bros other than what is posted on fedi. A gay romcom? Did anyone have any thought process on any of the steps there? First, I don't even think romcoms as a genre is even viable anymore (could be wrong). Second, do they understand the target audience of romcoms? Women. Perhaps I it was not that I could not sense that it was "popular" to like certain things or that the herd was going in that direction. But rather that my autism would not allow me to just say something that I knew was not true.

I realize now that I indeed was able to be an independent thinker well before there was ever an NPC meme. I would frequently see myself not just going along and saying I liked the latest popular music or other trends. I would not necessarily be outspoken, but if asked I would certainly not be afraid to say I did not like [insert current popular thing]. This was not me just being a contrarian, but rather that my autism kept me from sensing the same social pressures.

@DW2 This is a monumentally retarded plan. Even if the "vaccines" they deliver are safe (hard to trust that with the clot shots being considered "safe and effective"), how do they account for factors such as dosage? Some people will get none, while others may get too much. At least, that is what I am thinking, considering that they are wanting to use mosquitos as the delivery system.

@LouisConde Or maybe oral history is one of the least reliable forms of recording history, given how unreliable the human memory is even if there is no intent to slant the information. But no, playing the telephone game over 100s of years is just as valid and reliable as written records that are able to remain unchanged and allows historians to make evaluations with the exact same set of data.
