It is entettaining but the plot does not make sense
The person who did the bad thing would have known about the bad thing they did so they would not have been tricked by the other bad thing someone else did that could not have been what it was claimed to be because that would be impossible because of the bad thing they knew they did
I would be more specific but some people do not like spoilers
Maybe it will make sense second season but so far it does not make sense
1 Create a real or fake disaster with the new power you have been given
2 Use the disaster to demand and get more power to fix the real or fake disaster
3 Do not fix the real disaster nor admit that the fake disaster was fake or at least not admit that it is fake until it is too late and most people do not care
4 Repeat
