@thefinn I wonder if there's some kind of genetic condition that makes people blind to the concept of karma. Probably related to sociopathy/psychopathy.

Unpaid internships are a class filter.
It filters OUT the undesirable Lower Middle and Middle Class job seekers.
Companies WANT to attract interns and hire from their peers the Upper Middle Class whose parents are paying the bills (and will continue to pay their bills).
People will deny this (it makes them uncomfortable) you can ignore that.
