@KingOfWhiteAmerica I was just reading about The Divine Energies, and the language has given a more contemplative perspective on God.

"This supramental sensation of the Living God (which is experienced in contemplation) is accompanied by a vision of light, of light essentially different from physical light. Man himself abides in light because...he then neither sees nor feels his own material being or the materiality of the world."

This is great language for communicating this experience.

@UncleIroh @Justicar It's a semantic difference mostly: It would be an associated benefit, not a causal one because the cause of the invention is the inventor's actions which were enabled by being given the opportunity to invent, but invention and creativity as such cannot be stimulated only encouraged.

The larger point is not one on which we disagree in the broad sense.

@UncleIroh @Justicar Tariffs as a means to on-shore jobs will produce a more engaged workforce as more jobs are created since imports become more expensive. If this is what you mean by a stronger economy, I agree.

If on-shoring leads to a higher instance of invention into some technologies that increase productivity, that can be a coincidental benefit, but not a causal benefit. How much of our standards of living we're willing to pay is a value judgement.

@Gonzo17 It depends on what the objective is. Are tariffs "bad" in comparison to the free market in producing greater wealth overall? Yes. Are they an alternative means to fund the government to taxes? Yes, but they still don't create wealth. No interference-based government policy can create wealth.

@37712 @Tfmonkey The former, and I have many types of assets on hand for the true worst case scenarios.

@Tfmonkey Do you think that we should put our 6 months of emergency cash into a money market or simply keep it in a checking account and forego the gains it could make in favor of full liquidity? I'm contemplating moving 5 out of the 6 months' funds. That would give me a month's worth while I pull the rest if I need it.

@Dicer He's very cute. I like black and grey tigers.

@deprecated_ii Her legs are too long for her size. Her torso should be at least 50% taller, but that would make her not fit in the cart. I understand the point that the eye is to be drawn to three key locations: legs, head, and guns, but I prefer slightly more realism.

@Shadowman311 Sounds like someone takes his religious practice too seriously.

@Justicar They could just be going through another intermediary.

@matrix Why use a bottle at all. Do her breasts not work?
