I officially started a new job, listening to NPR news all day irritated the fuck out of me. (Co-worker’s choice not mine) Constant Propaganda.

Just thinking: We live in an age where attention is currency. The hardest-working men keep the world running — but the smartest learn to control where the world looks.
It’s not fair. It’s not noble. But if you don’t learn the game, you’ll work for those who do.

I was thinking all a cable machine is is a pulley that attaches to a column and has a mechanism to let you adjust the height

Why are those things so expensive

I was thinking someone better with tools than me could probably build one at home for less than 200 dollars

They would probably have to attach different objects to the pulley for weights if they did not want to spend money on a standard gym weight stack or standard gym weights
