@VooDooMedic @Tfmonkey Biden isn't a boomer he's of the "Silent" generation. Obama is also a boomer.
@Stahesh @Based_Accelerationist @Zeb
Regardless, over population is a self correcting problem.
@Stahesh Indeed, we're smart enough to know our limits, but we're too competitive to accept them. If most men could, they'd be like Jeffrey Epstein and try to populate the earth with their DNA. There are ways to combat this, other than with disease and war, but like any other law or right, it only takes a little corruption/weakness to undo it.
We're more like animals than we'd like to admit. Capitalism doesn't require infinite growth, but a debt based system built by corrupt institutions does.
@marlathetourist The more abundant a resource is, the less valuable it becomes. Same thing with people. humanity can either go one of two ways: Either we evolve into an ant-like colony where we're worthless as individuals and only know how to do one thing (highly specialized workers) OR we have less people who are physically superior and know how to perform multiple tasks. As someone who values freedom/individualism, I want the latter. Let's depopulate, let's have some degrowth.
@marlathetourist Look, they're lying, but the idea is correct. We can't keep growing. Capitalism works, it works too well. Prosperity makes people weak. We need death and natural selection from time to time and nobody will willingly accept it.
Is the world overpopulated? YES. People are living on top of each other in pitiful conditions, away from nature. There isn't enough land for everyone.
Now the world's overpopulated with NPCs, who only know how to do one very specialized job.
