Americans think living in a police state means that you will be safe, but tyranny has unintended consequences.

Mandating buses have surveillance cameras and foreigners submit fingerprints means that no one will travel. Fewer travelers lead to a bad economy. A bad economy means no hope, starvation, and more suicides.

The future is very bleak.

Cash will be banned. Robots will take every job.

Facial recognition cameras will be installed on every bus and train seat. Travel will then be banned.

Books will be outlawed and then the Internet will be shut off.

Tyranny is getting worse than the Middle Ages and the Soviet Union.

Americans scream that the government must mandate websites have pop-up windows to protect privacy and then Americans turn around and say you must be required to give the state your fingerprints to drive.

Ignaz Semmelweis was a young physician in the 19th century who discovered that there was a link between #hygiene (basic hand washing) and maternal mortality rates in hospitals. He demonstrated the link and practically eliminated maternal mortality in #hospitals by implementing strict hand-washing procedures among medical staff.
Yet, his discovery was ignored. He was mocked by fellow physicians and eventually kicked out of the medical practice.

This article feels like a good illustration for how messed up the American economy is.

I was listening to someone talk about 3d printing metal, and he, of course, needed to bring up that all of the printer services he uses are in China. He basically said that American companies wouldn't even talk to him unless he was willing to pay out tons of cash, or was a defense contractor. Meanwhile, Chinese companies would reach out during the whole process, and parts often cost between 1000 and 100 dollars.

It's like everything we do is incredibly cheap, but also out of reach for most people.
