Your vote only makes a difference in elections if an election would be won, lost or tied by exactly one vote

The probability of this happening is very low

Your ability to persuade groups of other people to vote would make more difference in the outcome of an election than your individual vote

Whether or not other people know or think that you vote or do not vote might influence your ability to persuade them to vote the way you want however
