If we are going to talk about non-canonical books the one that gets me is Testament of Solomon. It was almost certainly writen in the second or third millennium despite claiming to be written by King Solomon and is mostly associated with a lot of conspiracy theories surrounding the Free Masons, but what I found striking about it was the demons themselves and the way they described what they were and what they did and what motivated them.

Some of them clearly started as mortal men and women. The sorcerer that had the snake pokemon battle with Moses was there as an Anubis like entity, but there was a woman who killed her children in life and now in death as a demon causes miscarriages and SIDS. Others cause birth defects, insomnia, and arthritis.

Not shocking that they assign demons to illness and disease, but others do things like put intrusive thoughts in your head. Literally the whole trying to go to sleep at 1am and they whisper "hey, remember that time..." or "Yeah, that dog you're petting sure is cute. Squeeze it until its eyes bulge."

Other demons knock shit out of your hands in hopes that you will take God's name in vain and some try to make you miss church.

It all sounds like cartoon villain mustache twirling, but then you get to the ones that try to reward bad behavior. One of them makes sure if you go out drinking and gambling instead of going to church you win, and if you go to church then do that that you lose. If you just give into sin and go fuck hookers or get into bar fights they make sure your life is nice and easy. If you try to get back on the right path they make your life hard.

And then I thought really hard about my own experiences and got real spooked because a lot of that lined up pretty well.

They hate you more than you could ever imagine and they're willing to be more petty than you could ever fathom just to trip you up in little ways- according to that book. And I believe it.

the people who attacked the Romans and were sent to exile were a portion of these people, who intermarried with the Babylonians and wrote a book called the Talmud and made an entirely new religion

and some of these people today exist as a group called the Jew - and are not even genetically related to the people who wrote the Torah and do not follow the Torah and have completely different customs and culture from the people who followed the Torah

please do not claim the Jews - a vile and modern race - were the people of the Torah as it is simply untrue
