@VooDooMedic @Tfmonkey capital.com , got email saying they closed my position , no reason to since ive not been using leverage , i just heild stronk

@VooDooMedic @Tfmonkey i honestly dont know wats going on , the email says they closed my positions but app shows nothings changed, are u for sure cucked?

@dander @VooDooMedic @Tfmonkey
Did they force sell your position? We talked about that last year that there might be a time where the brokers were forced to stop negotiating ung and other commodities etfs. Is that the case?

@Zeb @dander @Tfmonkey I didn't get any money if they force sold it I think they just collasped mine but took like 80% because this is my current loss

@Zeb @VooDooMedic @Tfmonkey

Wait, did your broker actually do that @dander? No stops, no triggers, just getting robbed?

@VooDooMedic @dander I'm sure @Tfmonkey can explain it better, but basically they try to keep the value but change the number of shares, I believe. Everything gets fucked anyway, though, because of traders making moves during this change, before, and after.

@VooDooMedic @dander Yes, especially if you see them try to do this a few times in a year. But I honestly don't know what this could mean in the context of futures funds. @Tfmonkey will likely address it.

@Lorgar @dander @Tfmonkey consolidation DW it dropped back to 5$ after so I lost 77% of my money instantly

@Tfmonkey @dander @VooDooMedic @Lorgar
From Investopedia:

"A reverse stock split consolidates the number of existing shares of stock held by shareholders into fewer shares.
A reverse stock split does not directly impact a company's value (only its stock price).
It can signal a company in distress since it raises the value of otherwise low-priced shares.
Remaining relevant and avoiding being delisted are the most common reasons for corporations to pursue this strategy."

@Tfmonkey @dander @VooDooMedic @Lorgar Seems like they effectively erased my unrealized losses overnight. If I sell now at the current price, it'll be seen as a gain compared to the base price I bought at. There's literally no reason not to sell everything at this point, it seems.

@VooDooMedic @Lorgar @dander @Tfmonkey Was there some precipitating event? Because I remember way back in the olden times this used to happen in (mostly gold and food) commodities and I heard, though I don't know with certainty, that the powerful use this to force calls and knock people out of the market.
