I have strong opinions on property rights and individual rights, but as I've said before, you have to measure your own line yourself, and be ready for the consequences. This guy was unwise, imo.
Right or wrong, you should know what you're up against. Compare how important it is to you to do something, vs what it will cost you. And do the math ahead of time, with a clear mind.
Something you need to consider, which is the biggest obstacle I think about -- the no-knock, in-bed break-in. Here's a good starting point. Timely video on limiting the information you're giving "them."

As for "the day" -- it might be an encounter with the police, it might be an encounter with a nigger. Know what you want to do ahead of time & which choices you have for each scenario. And be steady-handed & sober-minded. Don't freak out too easily and overreact.

1) Tech support / Customer service are usually indians.
2) Scammers are usually indians.
3) People being used to hearing indians as tech support helps the scammers, because victims don't see anything unusual about the accent as tech support.
4) Solution - Stop hiring them for these roles. (They suck ass anyway).
Of course, the appeal is how cheap they are for companies to hire.
