There are good options out there now, you can start by browsing through the /r/linuxhardware subreddit, looking for desktops/laptops with coreboot.

The right tool can change everything. AI is absolutely going to eat most people's lunch, there's no avoiding that, but we have an equal chance that WWIII is going to take out even more people, which then makes UBI uneccessary.
