@Pain66 - I gotta say, the burka is really growing on me.
@RodrickSage - I hear a lot about "why can't people delay gratification?"
And there is a natural reason according to evolutionary psychology - the possibility of death.
We as humans, are hard-wired to have one unit of gratification today, over 5 units of gratification tomorrow, because of the greater than zero chance that we will die before we can collect on that.
That's why saving and planning better for the future, does not come naturally. 🍻
@Based_Accelerationist - I often think of how unfair it seems to blame men.
But on the other hand, if men are the ones who do all the things, then that is where the buck stops.
* * Movie Spoilers * *
In a fit of nostalgia, I started watching Jack Reacher 2, from 2016.
It's a thriller, shoot'em up, about a military conspiracy.
A quarter of the way through, and the big motivation for all the action, the big conspiracy, is military weapons being left in Afghanistan.
In the show, the Army is very concerned about a whole plane-load of missing military weapons... in Afghanistan. People are dying over it, and it would be a major scandal. 🤭
How quaint was 2016? 😂
@sardonicsmile - That's kinda asking for an anti-ship missile to put a hole right in the bathroom, at which point, the ship will turn around 180°. 🤔
@mage - which song? 🤔

Worth a watch, if you haven't seen it:

"Rules for Rulers" by CGP Grey.
...about 20 entertaining minutes.
@RodrickSage @Based_Accelerationist - In preindustrial days, govt was very limited, out of necessity and technological limitations. If a king wanted to spy on people, he would have to send someone to do that. He would have to pay them. And he'd have to send a second spy, to spy on the first spy.
There certainly wouldn't be an IRS, or automatic payroll deductions. There wouldn't be fiat currency, and probably no banks.
The result would be, more freedom all around - and more responsibility too.🍻
@RodrickSage @Based_Accelerationist - I'm anticipating the loss of electricity, petro-energy, mass transit, and mass communication. All of that is pretty much guaranteed if 3/4 of men die (which I would also expect).
Nominally, yeah most of the 1/4 of men left, would have to bow to someone - their local warlord, their king, their commune (if they're both lucky and stupid enough to be commie survivors).
But what would that entail, exactly? 🤔
@Starprophet - Oh yeah, and their shirts don't actually say anything... 😆😂🤣
@Justicar - ➡️ And you could have a term that means "Jew who studies his texts all day" or "Jew who is a political activist", or "Judaism as a set of cultural beliefs steeped in contempt for non-jews".
I think a set of such terms would really clear up what exactly we're talking about. But then again, the confusion is by design. 💁🏻♂️🍻
@Justicar - "Jew" seems to be a term meant to cause confusion by having multiple meanings. It's much like the term "love" - and how many misunderstandings arise from that? 🤔😂 Much like the Greeks had many terms for "love", to differentiate between its many aspects, I think it would be helpful to differentiate between the different aspects of Judaism.
You could have a term that means "Jewish and white today" & "Jewish but not white today". ➡️
@Justicar - Judaism seems to be the OG, and Christianity is the psy-op meant to weaken the adversaries of the Jews (the Romans). Christianity just succeeded beyond all expectations.
Since I'm not terribly familiar with it, I can't figure out if Islam is another psy-op (along the lines of controlled opposition), or if it's a legitimate rebellion against Judaism, but conducted within the framework of the established Jewish paradigm. 🤔
@Starprophet - I know that look. That was "spark" AI... 😂
'ello luv, where's ya feet? 🤔🤨
@Gonzo17 - noice! 👌🏻
@UncleIroh - Thank you! Me too. I just managed to have my son move to my town over this summer. And he should be around for as long as I can secure his mother's cooperation. It's a shitty deal on the face of it, 🤔 but time is irreplaceable... so I'm not gonna grouse overly much, but just enjoy the time I have and be grateful. It does feel like a cosmic imbalance has been corrected.😁🍻
I haven't read any legit biographies, but my thoughts were just from little factoids picked up here and there.
@DoubleD - Yeah, it just kinda clicked in my head as I was driving my shift at work today, listening to the show.
I've read that her death was a transformative event for him. It's what made Hitler become Hitler (by some accounts). They say that's when he became a vegetarian, because reportedly meat reminded him of dead flesh, and he could no longer bear it.
Who knows? 🍻
➡️ What if young Geli had somehow become ensnared in all of that. If all of Germany was like an inner-city American ghetto, then how likely is it that a young woman would get caught up in some ghetto shit? 🤔
And in a time when shame mattered more than it does now, what if the shit Geli got caught up in, drove her to suicide? What are the odds that Hitler would blame the Jews?
I've always been baffled by Hitler's irrationality. But if there's any truth to this supposition, then maybe I can see.
➡️ Now, Hitler was a decorated WWI vet, who fought in the trenches and survived a gas attack. Losing my son was bad, but being a soldier in WWI would be worse.
Imagine though, what if Geli Raubal (Hitler's niece) played a similar role in his life. What if Geli helped Hitler to maintain his humanity after what he had lived through.
She died in 1931. If Weimar was everything they say, with the poverty and all the prostitution, and the largely Jewish profiteering from it all... 🤔➡️
