That is indeed a worst case scenario, but even considering the downgrade in the standards of living will be something most people will not be able to swallow. All necessities being extremely expensive means less disposable income for things that people most certainly do not need. We are too used to comforts, and taking away those comforts will drive some to think it is the end of the world even if it is not.

If the US does full on collapse, I think it will shock most people living in the US. Yes, we have many bad signs deterioration, but most people still are living fairly comfortably in spite of the issues with inflation.

Food not being on grocery store shelves, electricity turned off, and gas not being at the pump are things most people are not going to be able to contemplate. For most people, that will mean death.

@VooDooMedic Good for you. Always good to see someone making progress towards bettering their own health. Though I don't know if it is actually possible to cut that much weight in such a short time frame. So please be careful.

@furgar This plan, if true, would not work as well as designed. There are plenty on the left who still live in red states, and they would be the ones more likely to get the vaxx. So it would more likely make red states redder rather than have the intended affect of taking out the right wingers.

@KG_Analytical_Dynamics_LLC >an unfertilized chicken egg is the same thing as a human embryo that was the result of fertilization

If you are going to try and appeal to "the science," at least have actual knowledge of it.

@dander Yeah, let's just deal with the symptoms of the problem rather then ask why these men are so likely to commit suicide.

Yes, I realize that it is bullshit they are peddling, but even the premise is riddled with erroneous thinking. Though from their perspective, former military may be the very type that can legitimately challenge government power.

@LTJG_Pliskin @Darb @swattysquad Last I checked, there are plenty of black Dragon Ball fans in spite of the lack of "diversity."

@WashedOutGundamPilot Think about how many women claim they have gained wisdom or insight from being doing what this woman says she missed out on. That "wisdom" is always about how they just HAD to make those mistakes to know what they really wanted. And that answer is basically getting married and having children. Only those women are racing against the clock to accomplish that.

This is why we had arranged marriages. It prevents stupid women from "making mistakes."

@WashedOutGundamPilot Looking at the vast majority of how women spend their 20s, she really did not miss out on anything. Those "carefree" years would be spent on nothing of value, and she most likely would have bailed and whored out.

What she did get was something many women miss out on, having a family to call her own and be proud of. And with so many women going baby-crazy in their 30s when they are still single, she got a much better deal.

@redmaple Does this apply for most cases, or just specific areas of the world?

@WashedOutGundamPilot >only 5 years of data

How about we expand the time frame and see if those percentages change?

@basedbagel That is fine too. I find that I do not mind wearing jeans when I am going about driving from place to place or doing most other things. It is flying where I hate it, because you are constantly going through all sorts of things like security, fiddling with your luggage, sitting in an uncomfortable seat during the flight.

It is just one thing that helps offset all the other discomforts.

No, you are not going to meet some cute young thing on your flight to your destination. Your life is not a movie.

Anyone else who might look at you funny for dressing for comfort when you are already going through every other discomfort during travel is never going to see you again anyways. Why care about what they think?

So if your aversion to the idea of wearing sweatpants on a flight is because you fear others judging you for your choice in clothing, just forget about that silliness.

Here's a tip for making your experience flying in an airplane more comfortable: just wear sweatpants for the trip.

This was something I never thought up myself, but I saw a co-worker on a business trip doing this, and I realized the genius of it. Who are you trying to impress when you are flying? The pilot? The stewardesses? Your fellow passengers? That attractive woman you saw during a layover who was going to a different destination?

Wearing something comfortable just makes things easier.

@Tfmonkey It does not surprise me that he was on steroids, as he has a body that is almost impossible to attain naturally.

You can pick 2 out of the three:

Big
Lean
Natural

Given he was big and lean, he clearly was not natural.

You can still lift weights and get a decent appearance while being natural. You just might not look as impressive for the normie masses who do not realize that you need to be taking steroids to look like this guy.

@37712 @dander I would not say that for sure. Most people in Japan (and much of the 1st world) have never had a perspective different than what had been in place since the end of WWII. The very idea may be unthinkable to most people who grew up in a world where "equality" is the most important value. A select few may know this, but I doubt many in leadership roles have this in the back of their mind with the world the grew up in.

There would be a lot less stress and anxiety in society overall if we stopped fighting against what nature intended. I specifically am referring to women and their general desire to have children who instead choose the career path and/or grad school path because they were told they needed to go out there and be accomplished.

Many of them do not even want to any of this and would rather be stay-at-home mothers. But apparently social stigma is stronger than biological urges. But only to a point.
