@Based_Accelerationist @Stahesh - It's funny, 'cause 2012 is what got me prepping.

Oh sure, I felt a little silly in 2013. 🤔😅 But I'm feeling a lot less silly in 2024. 💁🏻‍♂️🥃

@sardonicsmile - It's always nice to hear a brit say it. It's vindicating, and also they generally sound better when they talk.
😂🍻

@Indignation - I can't tell if that's uncle Adolf... 🤔 ...or George Kirby. 😂

@shortstories - I voted after 1776, with the understanding that feminism is an overtly political movement.

But I would say that Christianity has been gynocentric for much longer than that.

@Mongoliaboo - Yeah, that segment took an unexpected turn. 😂

@ButtWorldsMan - And when you examine a concept such as angels, with an open mind unattached to Christianity, they start to look a lot like lesser deities.

The Christian mythos (for lack of a better descriptor), looks a lot like a Mediterranean or Nordic pantheon... and the various pantheons scattered across the globe over time. 💁🏻‍♂️

Anywho, just 2¢ (...or maybe 4). 😅🍻

@ButtWorldsMan - 2¢: One doesn't need to be atheist to understand that Christianity is incorrect. There's lots of different options when it comes to belief/value structures.

I call myself a pagan, because that's what a Christian would call me. But I believe in God (the father), while not believing in Jesus, and also while not being Jewish. Personally, I think God goes by many names, so I don't even worry about the name. I trust an all-knowing deity to know who my prayers are addressed to.

Hey, if you guys here had any musical talent, what would you write a song about? 🤔

@shortstories @Indignation @Tfmonkey - Years ago, I was studying Japanese using audiobooks as a trucker. Unrelated to that, I was consuming high-dose caffeine pills to stay awake & to try to stay slim.

So I inadvertently ran that experiment on myself. My cognitive performance was noticeably improved (vocabulary retention, and fewer backtracking to repeat language lessons).

I couldn't speak to the precise mechanism, but that's a "fact check: true". 🫡

@RodrickSage - depends on the morals in question. There are some hills that I would die on, and some that I wouldn't. 💁🏻‍♂️

It would probably also depend on the particular circumstances.

The thing to remember about that is, someone who clings to life at all costs, can be easily cowed by the threat of death. And that's a very simple and easy threat to make (and to carry through).

So like everything, I'd say it's a balance.
🫡🍻

@shortstories - I always knew there was a Jesuit question... 🤔

@shortstories @KenBo - I'm betting TFM blocked him on a personal level. 🤔 Just a guess, though.

Freedom of speech isn't the same as people being required to listen. And with that in mind, I'm also blocking, because this runs against everything I've witnessed from TFM over many years. And besides, there's only 24 hrs in day, and there's much to do, and I don't care to waste any time reading nonsense.

In fact, I don't even need a reason, 💁🏻‍♂️ but that's the reason.

Toodle-loo mr. kenbo. Deuces👋🏻

@Stahesh - That is the best, most well-spoken and potent expression of that sentiment, that I've yet heard.

Thank you for sharing. That's savage. 🫡🍻

@RodrickSage - There's someone on this earth that I've considered doing that to... 🤔 ...but it wouldn't have been his ear. 😶

@sardonicsmile - True story.

I admire what the Taliban has achieved, for example, but I'm well aware that they would stone me without a second thought. 🤔💁🏻‍♂️
