I don't believe the upper crust of the south who bankrolled the war gave 2 shits about states rights.

I think they just realized that they could make their immense profits from slavery tax free by getting the common man fired up about states rights being in danger.

I think the anime community gassed me up for no good reason.

I think alot of people watched it as kids and look @ it w/ nostalgia goggles.

People were saying it was a perfect anime but I'm watching and and it's rather mid.

Don't get me wrong The anmation holds up well and the fights are good but there are some serious plot holes and I'm only 7 episodes in.

I made a poll asking if I should watch the show because I'm busy and don't want to waste my time.

I foolishly assumed if there was any bullshit in there that I would be warned as such.

I wasn't looking to find gay shit in a 25+ year old anime .

I was looking for escapism.

instead I found a guy so cool/skilled he constantly get's saved/ outsmarted by hoes and children.
