@basedbagel - occasionally, I'll fast or try some other experimental diet. In such cases, metamucil is your friend. Not only does it keep things moving at a steady pace, but it also helps your stomach feel full while containing a minimal amount of calories per serving (like 5).
😉👍

@dander - Man! I hate it when my flabbers get gasted.

@37712 @basedbagel - Man! I'm looking at my posts today... And it seems like a downer-day...

But that's not the case, just so you guys know. This is just life that I'm sharing. And I've been enjoying the conversation with you guys.

I'm actually having a pretty good day. 🫡 Life is good, and I'm hoping you guys are too. I'm just adding 2¢ where it may be relevant - that's all. Cheers! 😁🍻

@37712 @basedbagel- surrounded by good people in her family, that loved him and looked out for him. And he's a good kid - smart, kind-hearted, and polite.

So overall, I can't say I regret it. But I would not go through that again. The margin for "making the news" was much, much too close for comfort. And I wouldn't recommend it for anyone.

Pretty funny, looking back... I came home with 3 guns one day, and my own family was looking nervous, like "You okay, buddy?"

I was not okay back then. 🤔😅

@37712 @basedbagel - She's southern black, so there's no way she's ever getting on the trans train - thank God.

He was ten years old though, when I first met him. She decided she wasn't happy, and left when she was pregnant. I suspect the main motive was control. And the govt, at every level, supported her in that crime. I seethed for justice, and contemplated a John Rambo Jihad.

I feared the worst for him - raised in a matriarchal ghetto and all that... But after seeing him, I could tell he ➡️

@37712 @basedbagel - Well, I already had one... and that went very poorly. I legitimately considered declaring war on the state over it 🤔, but in the end, I chose the path of restraint.

And honestly, even as badly as it went, it could've gone much, much worse. So, I won't be repeating that poor judgement on my part (believing fairness exists, within this system).

I don't know if we'll live to see the dust of collapse settle, but perhaps we may. Care to place a wager? What could we bet? 🤨🍻

@37712 @basedbagel - I dunno about you guys, but I plan on having my kids in the aftermath... too dangerous beforehand.

It's a gamble (collapse might take a while). But that's one more reason why the acceleration doesn't bother me. 🍻

@basedbagel - Thank you. I don't mean to mislead... It was my sister who got the worst of it.

Most people I know, they take a sort of "shit happens" view of it, and they move on. And really, that's about all anybody can do.

But yeah, if the guy who did all of that to my sister weren't already dead... I'd be sorely tempted to kill him.

@basedbagel - And sorry to ramble here... But you were right to drop your friend.

Fuck that guy. Odds are greater than zero, that he's projecting what's inside of him, anyway (I might feel bad for his kids though).

@basedbagel - But I guess the point your post brings to mind, is this: Whatever we have been doing up til now, to prevent sex abuse of children... It's not working.

All the paranoia, and the general alienation of men from children... It's not working (assuming abuse prevention is even the goal). I know more molested people than non-molested people.

Maybe it's a variation on a theme, something like: avoiding pain leads to pain.

@basedbagel - And something sadly ironic: sex abuse actually did happen in my family, growing up.

And as I get to know people closely... more often than not, there comes a point when it comes out that they've been subjected to sexual shenanigans themselves, by adults, as children.

It's at the point now, that I almost view sex-abuse as normal (whether we would normalize it, or not). It's like some kind of rite-of-passage... which is kinda fucked up, actually.

@basedbagel - Yeah... I've gotten the same treatment before. It comes mostly in the form of a side-eye, guarding behavior, and/or innuendo. I don't think anyone's name-calls me because I can appear fairly intimidating (heavy eyebrows).

To be clear: kids have never been something I'm into like that. But people still seem to make the silent assumption - as revealed in their behavior. That assumption shouldn't be dignified with response.

I'm curious about much of that is projection, or paranoia?

@Pain66 - Why ban? What's the rationale? 🤔

I'm just curious, because the idea isn't making much sense to me.

@houseoftolstoy - I would argue WWIII is already in progress. Future historians will back-date it, probably to the invasion last year.

But if WWIII is already started, why not cross Rubicons? I think there's really only one answer, and it's the same everywhere... and probably the root cause of why Rubicons need crossing in the first place (cowardice). I can't really judge though, seeing as I too, am running out a clock.

@basedbagel - Meh, don't let that stop you. If you're looking for something new under the sun, you're gonna be looking for a long time. Just make the concept your own.

If you feel you must, throw in an obvious nod to the original (just a subtle little acknowledgement), and call it an homage. As long as you're not intentionally seeking to subvert, or otherwise shit on the original... I don't think a reasonable person would object. 🤔😉👍

@basedbagel - I've known previously normal people, who became pretty fake after they got on Facebook... Maybe Mark Z is just patient zero?
