@Tfmonkey - I dunno about generalization, but I can add my own account, for what it's worth.
As a kid, my IQ was evaluated at 147 during the process of joining a "talented and gifted" program. I've done some additional developing, and killed some brain cells since then... so give or take. 💁🏻♂️
I was very neurotic when young, and overly concerned with everyone else's opinion. I was raised very blue pill, and bought into it completely.
I can remember exactly what it was that inspired me to➡️
@Tfmonkey - ...no longer care what others thought of me.
Ironically enough, it was falling in love as a blue-pilled simp. She was all that mattered, and nothing else did anymore. Of course, she eventually did me very dirty, time and again. 🙄😮💨
But I guess you could say, that it was finding something that (ill-advised or not) mattered more to me than myself.
Hope that helps your formulation. 🍻
@Chimi_Chuang_Tzu @Tfmonkey - Oh, I have no doubt. I just like using cheat codes. 😬
I worked out diligently, for years and years... but at 6ft, I was never able to break a lean 200lbs. After trying some supplements, I finally got what I was after. I used to consider supplement users to have "fake muscles", but it turns out they really are quite functional. 😅
I'll check him out though. I'm about to start a new workout cycle, so it could be very applicable. 🍻
@Tfmonkey - I like taking GNC's various house brands of protein supplements when I need to build up. With some of the botanical derivatives, I suppose it's a bit of a grey area... 🤔 But sometimes you gotta be big. Like for example, when facing prison time - don't show up small. Or if you plan to be a warlord in a post-collapse hellscape... muscles help.
I think the bill for a pretty intense supplement regimen though, amounts to well under a grand/mo. 💁🏻♂️ $11,000 is ridiculous. 😶😔
@basedbagel - Well, in any statistical sample, there are bound to be outliers. I know a few exceptional women - and they're the exception. I've noticed that they come from hard-life backgrounds.
Also, you can't be sure they're exceptional until they're old... which kinda defeats the purpose. 😶😅
@basedbagel - 🫡
@kaiservenom - Smash.
@basedbagel - Oh, it's not so bad as that. The bounty-hunter is paid by the bail bondsman. So it's all privatized (at least in that case, in that state). It's a funny story to hear my brother tell it. He's like: "you're not even a cop?!"
"Nope. But I'm here to take you in..."
* handcuffs *
😂
@Tfmonkey - Heeey...! I love chillhop and jazzhop. Thanks. 🍻
@sardonicsmile @mutageno - I was gonna say it, but didn't want to be that guy (thanks for filling that role though 😁👍). But yeah, I've noticed with these things lately, that the replacement is usually worse.
I'm looking forward to rebuilding. 🍻
@Pain66 - I always thought "envy" was a little underpowered when lumped in with the 7 deadly sins - like the kid on "captain planet" with the power of heart.
But the current societal situation makes it clear that it definitely belongs on the list. Very deadly, indeed.
@basedbagel - I think most bail bond places charge 10% on a loan. And if you skip bail, they send a bounty hunter after you. My brother actually got arrested in exactly that way in his young and dumb days (court charge was over youthful jackassery). His attorney told him he didn't need to appear, but the judge saw things differently. And he woke up to a bounty hunter at his front door. 😶
I don't know what kind of bail bondsman would cover $250,000,000 though... 😒
@WhisherWintersong @37712 - Yup, that second pic is a keeper. 😉👍
@basedbagel - Oh, it gets even better than having a narrating monologue. Sometimes my monologue will crack jokes that genuinely catch me off-guard. It's always fun to have to explain to people why you've started laughing spontaneously while simply going about your day. 😅 On the bright side: my internal monologue is pretty good company.
If you are doomed to hear voices, let them be funny ones. 🍻😂
@WhisherWintersong - nice. 🍹
Tiki drink seems appropriate... 🤔 They get a bad rap as being unmanly, but they're pretty delicious.
@DicusMaximus @VooDooMedic - Fucking brilliant. That's a day-brightener🍻😆
@kaiservenom - Relatable. 🤣🤣
@basedbagel - Denial is a helluva drug. Chances are, they just don't want to deal with that "good god, what have I done?!" moment.
I'd say future history will look upon this time as the greatest crime against humanity ever perpetrated... But I'm kinda hoping that future history doesn't frame it so, because that would imply the same common values are held in the future. And those values are demonstrably shit.
