After eating nothing but steak and butter for about 2 weeks, I now get the appeal of "medium rare". I used to never like rare steak, but I've been buying tougher cuts of steak to save money, and cooking them medium rare makes them easier to chew, and I don't have to saw through them with a steak knife.
@Tfmonkey mountain dew isn't kosher you philistine! Be a real man and cook a porterhouse or a tomahawk
@Tfmonkey Same experience when I switched to carnivore diet. Eventually I started drinking raw eggs mixed with heavy cream and whey protein shake powder.
@Engineer protein shake powder has a lot of bad stuff in it. You might do well to just drink water.
@charliebrownau @Tfmonkey Agree'd.
@Tfmonkey Yeah, you're right. But I would wager a fair chunk of change that unflavored whey concentrate has a lot less aspartame and similar carcinogens/toxic slop than mountain dew. The errant mistake people make in whey is getting the overpriced walmart synthetically flavored slop, rather than buying unflavored concentrate from a supplier.
Dont take it the wrong way, I consider myself a bit of a man of science, and I just don't want to see you mess up your experiment via ancillary variables.
@Tfmonkey Also zero calorie soda still has lots of bad stuff in it. You might do well to just drink water.
@Tfmonkey COLON CANCER 😆😆😆
That picture says steak and mountain dew not steak only
I hope you take vitamin pills or vitamin supplements with that steak
How do you get calcium on steak only?
@midway marinades don't tenderize meat, they infuse the meat with flavor like a sauce without the sauce.
I could tenderize the meat with a meat tenderizer, but it's fine.
@Tfmonkey That doesn't look like triple-distilled water and I clearly see seasonings on that bitch! Did you even ask if the steak was organic, grass-fed, ethically-raised, free-range, Ivy-league, bonafide, homegrown, English-speaking cows? You're not even using ceramic cutlery. It's like you're not even trying.
@RoninGrey @Tfmonkey Im just happy its not well done.
@Tfmonkey Might be worth getting a thicker cut that you can sear in the pan and then transfer for the oven for 20/30 mins. After removing from the oven, let it sit for 10 mins under tinfoil to allow it to soften up.
