Interesting development since starting my 1 meal a day "diet".
It's been about 2 months or so, and I recently decided to take my first "cheat day" and get some ice cream, and normally ice cream is my weakness. I would really miss ice cream when dieting.
So I bought some ice cream and it was nothing special. It just tasting my cold sugary frozen milk, which I realize that's what it is, but I didn't enjoy it.
I think my microbiome has been altered, which I wasn't expecting to happen.
@ButtWorldsMan I still enjoy yogurt. I am but a vessel to feed the bacteria in my guts.
@Tfmonkey Yogurt is great. I specifically buy the protein focused ones.
@Tfmonkey I wonder how much of that is psychological. You build something up in your mind you haven't had in a while, but when you do it doesn't beat the expectation you created
@Mike_Microwave @Tfmonkey it is not psychological, it is legit real, I have been there where you go on a diet and then you cheat wich some dessert and notice that it tastes bad or atleast not as good as it used to.
@Tfmonkey For a snack I go with low fat milk and make instant sugar free pudding different flavors with whip cream it tends to take the edge off
@Tfmonkey Try Vegan Ice Cream that is lower in saturated fat and don't have cholesterol.
@Tfmonkey try frozen yogurt next time ?
@Mordikia frozen yogurt is loaded with sugar. I like regular yogurt. It's all the creaminess without all the candy.
@Tfmonkey that's actually fair, I figured because you were like cheat day with ice cream. I'm been on keto for about a week and I'm trying to get my gut biome back to what it was a few years ago where I don't have that craving for sweet shir.
@Tfmonkey Maybe you bought some low fat ice cream?
I also started the one meal I day plan, with the goal to cut 3 kgs until the end of September. Interestingly, I just don't miss lunch.
@viatorem it was actually frozen custard at an expensive ice cream shoppe (with an e at the end so you know they're serious).
@Tfmonkey Custard is the good stuff. You probably managed to reprogram your habits. Good job!
@Tfmonkey I can vouch for this. Bread, ice creams, pastries... Since I started intermittent fasting, I don't find those that good.
@Tfmonkey I understand there is school of thought that claims that humans are the Only species that consumes milk from another mammal as part of a "regular diet". They go on to say that this is incorrect due to propaganda by Kellogg, the cereal mogul who collaborated with the government to develop a staple industry; breakfastcerealserved with milk, as a meal. This is why we toleratelactoseintolerance. Personally, I eliminated dairy from my diet. I do like cottage cheese for the protein.
@Tfmonkey are you still taking your lions mane with the omad?
@Brianhere I don't take lions mane all the time because it cures my insomnia, and I use my insomnia strategically to be more productive.
@Tfmonkey
>I scream against ice cream
Absolutely haram.
